Energy and Money Saving Day, Clapham this Saturday

just a reminder about the energy and money saving day at Clapham village hall this Saturday 10am – 2pm. LEADER Supported project.

Clapham energy day

Installers of renewable energy systems will be on hand to answer your questions – including solar photovoltaic panels, air source heat pumps and woodfuel systems, there will be people to chat to who’ve been through the experience of installing solar panels, a thermal imaging camera for detecting housing heat loss, information about different types of insulation, Feed In Tariffs and grants plus a conservation architect to answer questions about insulation, damp and heating in old buildings.

Programme for the day:

10am – 2pm – installers & experts, available for information and questions in the main hall

10am-12pm a planner will be on hand to answer questions about planning laws and renewable energy systems

10.30 – 11.30am Four 15 minute talks covering:

– Overview of renewable energy generating options

– Woodfuel – using, growing and supplying

– Keeping Old Buildings Warm

– The practicalities of installing solar PV panels

12.30 – 1.30pm repeat of the four talks

Tea and cakes available. Also the first ever crop of Clapham honey will be on sale – from the Clapham Bee Group community bees.

 A great opportunity to speak to a lot of experts and installers about cutting expenditure on energy bills, comparing different types of renewable energy systems and asking all the things you want to know about the practicalities of installing and generating income from renewable energy systems.
